This Relaxed Settee Loveseat Sofa was originally designed by Florence Knoll as part of her classic lounge collection in 1954. Knoll’s architectural background, including her studies under Mies van der Rohe, influenced its clean lines and geometric forms.

Designed during a period when Florence Knoll was integrating modernist principles with comprehensive space planning, the Relaxed “Settee,” a term derived from Old English “setl”, complements modernist architectural environments.

For enhanced comfort, this “Relaxed” version features deeper seating and a lower profile than Florence Knoll’s standard Settee Sofa design.
