Archetype Forms Le Bambole Modular Sofa Paired Set | Loveseat Construction:

  • Upholstery: Premium Leather, Suede or Custom Fabric Selection from Archetype Forms
  • Structure: Steel Embedded in Polyurethane Wrapped in Polyester Fibre
  • Padding: Flexible High-Density Shaped Polyurethane Foam
  • Feet: Plastic

Mario Bellini described his Le Bambole pieces as “not upholstered with fabric, but built in fabric,” highlighting their design in which the frame and padding are built within the upholstery. The fabric is an integral part that forms its structure rather than simply being an upholstery overlay.

The corner elements included in the Archetype Forms set function as side pieces of a sofa, corner pieces in a large L- or U-shaped sofa, or two paired together make this loveseat. It features padding made of flexible, cold-shaped polyurethane foam and polyester fiber. The frame is constructed from durable polyethylene. The cover is available in fabric, suede, or aniline leather.

Bellini once stated, “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works,” reflecting his commitment to functionality in furniture design. The Archetype Forms Le Bambole Series is a multifunctional seating system with endless configurations based on the setting or mood of the time.
