CAD $1,760

The Moulded Fiberglass La Chaise was originally designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1948 for an international competition for the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The chaise was inspired by Gaston Lachaise’s 1927 sculpture, “Floating Figure.” It features a unique organic moulded fiberglass silhouette that allows for a variety of seating positions. It also resembles a bird in flight, a common theme in the Eameses’ designs.

The Archetype Forms 1948 Moulded Fiberglass Lounger: La Chaise is shown in Parchment Fiberglass with Satin Finish, Polished Chrome Legs, and Natural Oak cruciform base.

The 1948 Moulded Fiberglass Lounger: La Chaise is a faithful reproduction of the original Charles & Ray Eames Moulded Fiberglass La Chaise design.
