1954 Relaxed Armchair: One-Seater

CAD $1,180$1,540

This Relaxed Lounge Chair was originally designed by Florence Knoll as part of her classic lounge collection in 1954. Knoll’s architectural background, including her studies under Mies van der Rohe, influenced its clean lines and geometric forms.

Designed during a period when Florence Knoll was integrating modernist principles with comprehensive space planning, the Relaxed Armchair complements modernist architectural environments.

For enhanced comfort, this “Relaxed” version features deeper seating and a lower profile than Florence Knoll’s standard lounge chair design.

Shown in Porcelain Woven Upholstery on Polished Chrome Steel.

The Archetype Forms 1954 Relaxed Armchair: One-Seater is a faithful reproduction of the original Florence Knoll Relaxed Lounge Chair Model 1206S1.
