Hommage À Mario Bellini

Cab Chair: Armchair

Cab Chair: Armchair

CAD $1,220

The Cab Cowhide Armchair was originally designed by Mario Bellini and introduced in 1977. The Cab Chair was the first chair of its kind to feature a free-standing leather structure, inspired by the relationship between the human skeleton and skin.

The Archetype Forms Cab Chair Armchair’s upholstery consists of 22 individual pieces of cowhide, die-cut and hand-processed before being sewn into a single piece. The cover is then fitted onto a tubular steel frame and secured with a zipper, akin to a custom-tailored garment.

Shown in green Foglia Fresca Leather.

The Archetype Forms Armchair Cab Chair is a faithful reproduction of the original Mario Bellini Cab 413 Armchair.
