The Gaja Dining Chair model W58 11 was designed and developed by Kazuhide Takahama in 1974. Takahama was known for integrating traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern industrial furniture design techniques, stating “My designs are a reflection of my journey, merging the serene minimalism of Japan with the dynamic innovation of Italy.” The design of the Gaja Dining Chair is rooted in Rationalism, featuring a lightweight steel rod, stackable structure with a minimalist aesthetic, focussing on logical use and clear form.
