LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & Ottoman

CAD $2,520

The LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & Ottoman were originally designed by Le Corbusier with Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928, debuting at the Salon d’Automne in Paris in 1929.

The instantly recognizable LC3 Armchair was featured in the iconic Maxell “blown away” advertisement. The LC3 “Confort Grand Modèle” version is known for its larger size and softer padding than its LC2 Series counterpart, while the LC2 Confort Modele Ottoman is the complimenting companion piece. This set is a classic design pairing from the Bauhaus era and Le Corbusier archives.

Shown in Black Italian Aniline Leather on Polished Chrome Steel.

The Archetype Forms LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & the LC2 Confort Modele Ottoman are a faithful reproduction of the original Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret LC3 Fauteuil Grand Confort, Grand Modèle Armchair & 2 Ottomane.

Le Corbusier called the series a “cushion basket,” playfully describing its interplay between industrial materials and comfort.

Known for its larger size and softer padding, the LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair retains the distinctive cubic shape and tubular, exoskeletal metal frame as its counterparts in the LC2 series. The LC2 Confort Modele Ottoman compliments the armchair to create a relaxing chaise, or can be used as impromptu seating or a soft side table as needed.
