Maralunga Armchair: One-Seater

CAD $1,460$2,140

The Maralunga Armchair was originally designed by Vico Magistretti and first produced in 1973. This iconic poltrona chair has a first-of-its kind design with its multi-position adjustable backrest.

The Maralunga’s unique headrest adjustment mechanism utilizes a bicycle chain embedded in the foam cushions to allow easy conversion from a low to high backrest position. This innovative design earned the Maralunga series the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 1979.

The Maralunga’s Armchair’s design with adjustable backrest is the archetype that all other adjustable backrest seating systems have since been modeled after.

Shown in Malbec Chenille Upholstery.

The Archetype Forms Maralunga Armchair: One-Seater is a faithful reproduction of the original Vico Magistretti Maralunga Armchair Model 675 5 A1, Maralunga Poltrona Lounge Chair.
