The MR Armchair with Leather Sling was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe as part of his iconic MR Collection. First introduced at the influential Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate exhibition in 1927, this chair combines the structural innovation of tubular steel with the elegance of a leather sling seat.

The MR Armhair’s cantilevered design was influenced by fellow Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer and inspired 19th-century iron rocking chairs.
