The Poul Armchair: One-Seater Lounge Chair was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1958 as part of his renowned PK31 series.

The PK31 series is recognized by Kjærholm’s dedication to using industrial and natural materials in his pursuit of the ideal form. The armchair’s precise geometry—a perfect 76cm cube—illustrates Kjærholm’s exacting quest in furniture design.

The PK31-1 chair is constructed with separate panels for the seat, back, and sides, all supported by a steel frame connected by a steel bar that varies in length depending on the series piece.
