Soriana Pouf: Ottoman

The Soriana Pouf Ottoman was originally designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa and unveiled at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 1969. Its form expresses beauty and comfort by using a bundle of plush upholstery held by a treated steel clamp.

The Soriana Pouf Ottoman complements the lounge chair and sofas, serving as an ottoman or extending them to a chaise, or as additional seating, a soft side table, or coffee table as needed.

The Scarpas' furniture designs, such as the iconic Soriana armchair & sofa series (1969) and the Bastiano sofa (1960), blend traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques. Their lighting, including the Papillona lamp (1977), further demonstrates their versatility and continue to influence contemporary interiors and product design.
