This Relaxed 3-Seater Sofa is an adaptation of Florence Knoll's classic lounge collection of 1954, with a lower profile and deeper proportions for added comfort. Knoll's architectural background, including her studies under Mies van der Rohe, influenced its clean lines and geometric forms.

Designed during a period when Florence Knoll was integrating modernist principles with comprehensive space planning, the Relaxed 3-Seater Sofa complements modernist architectural environments.

For enhanced comfort, this "Relaxed" version features deeper seating and a lower profile than Florence Knoll's standard 3-Seater Sofa design.

Shown in Vermilion Knit Fine Boucle on Satin Chrome Steel.

The Archetype Forms 1954 Relaxed Sofa: Three-Seater is a faithful reproduction of the original Florence Knoll Relaxed Sofa 3-Seater Sofa, Model 1206S3.
