The Wishbone Chair was originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, introduced in 1950. Each Wishbone Chair requires over 100 meticulous steps to create.
The Wishbone Chair's instantly recognizable Y-shaped, steam-bent wood back and armrests were inspired by traditional Chinese Ming Dynasty chairs. Its seat is made from hand-woven paper cord for support and comfort.
Shown in Black Paper Cord Seat on Black Painted Oak Frame.
The Archetype Forms AF24: Wishbone Armchair is a faithful reproduction of the original Hans J. Wegner Wishbone Chair, Model CH24.
