The LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & Ottoman original designs were conceived by Le Corbusier with Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928, debuting at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929.

The instantly recognizable LC3 Armchair was featured in the iconic Maxell "blown away" advertisement. The LC3 "Confort Grand Modèle" armchair version is known for its larger size than its LC2 Series Chair counterpart.

The LC2 Confort Modele Ottoman is the complimenting companion piece to the LC3 Chair. This set is a classic design pairing from the Modernist & Bauhaus era and Le Corbusier archives.

Also available in the LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & Ottoman with Down Feather Cushions option for a more relaxed aesthetic and comfort.

Archetype Forms LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair & Ottoman

Le Corbusier called the series a "cushion basket," playfully describing its interplay between industrial materials and comfort.

Known for its larger size and softer padding, the LC3 Confort Grand Modèle Armchair retains the distinctive cubic shape and tubular, exoskeletal metal frame as its counterparts in the LC2 series. The LC2 Confort Modele Ottoman compliments the armchair to create a relaxing chaise, or can be used as impromptu seating or a soft side table as needed.

Le Corbusier, Perriand, and Jeanneret’s original design is featured in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
