The Shell Chair Model 07 was originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1963. Known for its floating, wing-like form, the Shell Chair gained its height of popularity in the 1990s after a revival of Wegner's designs that has persisted since.
This small lounge chair is recognized by its distinctive moulded plywood, three-legged design with curved seat and backrest.
The Shell Chair frame is made from form-pressed veneer with the optional leather, hide, and fabric seat or seat-back combination.
Shown in Light Brown-White Haired Hide on Black Stained Walnut with Satin Finish.
The Archetype Forms 07: Shell Lounge Chair is a faithful reproduction of the original Hans J. Wegner Shell Chair, also known as Model CH07 Shell Chair.
