This Dining Table was originally designed by Florence Knoll, introduced as part of her 1961 classic collection. Florence Knoll’s work is characterized by its reserved elegance and geometric precision, with visible influence from her mentor Mies van der Rohe.
Florence Knoll modestly referred to her designs as the "meat and potatoes" of furniture, emphasizing their essential nature. This dining table can also be used as a meeting table.

The 1961 Dining Table features a minimalist design with a rectangular surface choice of stone, glass, or wood, supported by solid steel bar legs connected to horizontal steel tube rails. The stone top versions have a tension rod substructure to support the weight of the marble top and prevent deflection.
