Archetype Forms 1961 Dining Table: Square

The 1961 Dining Table features a minimalist design with a square surface choice of stone, glass, or wood veneer, supported by stainless steel bar legs connected to horizontal steel tube rails. The stone top versions have a tension rod substructure to support the weight of the marble top and prevent deflection.

This square Dining Table is based on the Florence Knoll archives. It measures 55" x 55".

Florence Knoll Bassett was a pivotal American designer, architect, and entrepreneur, recognized for her contributions in shaping the modernist furniture, corporate interiors, and modern architectural landscapes.

Knoll studied at the Cranbrook Academy of  Art and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, mentoring alongside Eero Saarinen, Charles & Ray Eames, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and other iconic designers. Her design approach included functionalism, modernism, integration, attention to detail, and collaboration.
