The Bonaparte Armchair was originally designed by Eileen Gray in 1938 to be used in formal living rooms. However, Gray found it so comfortable she used it as her desk chair for decades in her Paris home at Rue Bonaparte. The armchair combines a uniquely shaped backrest and seat cushion with a tubular steel frame that seamlessly integrates through them.
