The LC1 Sling Chair was originally designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, debuting in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne in the trio's "Equipment for Living" exhibition.

The chair's original name, "1 Fauteuil à Dossier Basculant," translates to "Armchair with Tilting Backrest." Its revolutionary backrest tilting mechanism, combined with slung armrests, allows users to fluidly adjust their posture without knobs or controls.

LC1 Shown in the "Sling" version, with Girasol Italian Hide Leather on Powder Coat Black Steel.

For added comfort, see the wider, padded Villa Church Armchair version.

The Archetype Forms LC1 Sling Chair is a faithful reproduction of the original Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand LC1 Sling Chair, also known as 1 Fauteuil à Dossier Basculant.
