The Maralunga Loveseat Sofa was originally designed by Vico Magistretti and first produced in 1973. This iconic loveseat has a first-of-its kind design with its multi-position adjustable backrest.

The Maralunga's unique headrest adjustment utilizes a bicycle chain embedded in the foam cushions to allow easy conversion from a low to high backrest position. This innovative design earned the Maralunga series the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1979.

The Maralunga Loveseat Sofa's design with adjustable backrest is the archetype that all other adjustable backrest seating systems have since been modeled after.

Shown in Boreal Velvet Upholstery.

The Archetype Forms Maralunga Sofa: Two-Seater Loveseat is a faithful reproduction of the original Vico Magistretti Maralunga 2-Seater Sofa Model 675 06 A6, Settee Loveseat.
