Florence Knoll Bassett was a pivotal American designer, architect, and entrepreneur, recognized for her contributions in shaping the modernist furniture, corporate interiors, and modern architectural landscapes.

Knoll studied at the Cranbrook Academy of  Art and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, mentoring alongside Eero Saarinen, Charles & Ray Eames, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and other iconic designers.
