Partir Ducaroy Sofa: 3-Seater without Arms
The Partir Ducaroy Sofa: 3-Seater without Arms is Archetype Forms' version of Michel Ducaroy's original TOGO Sofa without Arms model R 3232. It features a distinctive low-slung profile with deeply quilted cushioning that creates the Togo chair's signature wave-like contours.
This sofa chair eliminates traditional internal framing to combine three densities of polyether foam as the structure and ergonomic comfort. It is wrapped in a quilted polyester-filled cover sewn to an upholstery of your choice. The quilted upholstery with backing gives the material body, substance, and enhances its luxurious feel.
The TOGO's innovative frameless approach won Michel Ducaroy the René-Gabriel Prize at the 1973 Salon des Arts Ménagers in Paris, honoring the TOGO sofa as "innovative and democratic furniture." The design established the TOGO as an icon of 1970s French design, a status that remains today.
